Founding partner Paul Tweed has acted for A list celebrities including Liam Neeson, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Nicolas Cage, Harrison Ford, Neil Jordan, Patrick Kielty and The Corrs. He represented X Factor judge and band manager Louis Walsh in an action against The Sun newspaper in which Walsh was awarded €500,000. Paul has acted for MPs and TDs from most political parties on the island of Ireland. He is currently retained by a number of governments and European corporates. Paul has also represented newspapers and publishers including The Sunday Times, The Irish News and Penguin books. He is listed as the top tier (band 1) lawyer for both Defamation/Reputation management and Media & Entertainment fields in Chambers. He, by invitation, addressed the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the draft Defamation Bill and the Northern Ireland Assembly Committee on the Defamation Act. Paul also sat on the Ministry of Justice panel set up to review Defamation law in England and Wales.
